Application Conditions

  • General Guidance – Products should be stored before use so that their properties are not impaired.
  • Substrate & Ambient Temperature – 5–30 °C
  • Substrate Moisture Content – Hygrometer readings up to 90% RH, measured by BS 8203, can be accommodated.

Application Methods

Mixing and Application Instructions

To prepare and use Deckmaster systems, start by adding the hardener to the resin. Use a low-speed mixer (300-400 rpm) to mix thoroughly for at least 3 minutes until uniform. Keep the mixing paddle submerged to avoid air bubbles, and often scrape the sides and bottom of the container.

Mix the coloured resin before adding the hardener. After adding the hardener, mix again with a low-speed mixer (200-500 rpm) for 1 to 2 minutes until thoroughly blended. Gradually add the filler and mix for 1-2 minutes until smooth.

Use the mixed material immediately as it heats up and becomes less workable, especially in warm conditions. To apply, use a flat squeegee, trowel, or spattle to ensure the resin spreads evenly. Finish with a medium nap roller. Note: New squeegees should be roughened before first use.

Cleaning of Tools

All tools should be cleaned with Deckmaster Cleaning Solvent immediately after use. Cured material can only be removed mechanically. It is important not to add solvent to the product to facilitate application.
