The Isocrete range of screeds include self-levelling products that are poured as a liquid and spread evenly across a surface, and more rigid mixes that are applied with a dryer consistency. Flowcrete UK’s Isocrete screeds provide practical solutions for both new construction and renovation projects.
Discover the Power of Flowcrete Isocrete for Floors
Flowcrete screeds are strong, quick to install, and provide excellent moisture control. They work well with subfloors like underfloor heating and acoustic systems. Suitable for both large industrial or commercial projects and small domestic flooring needs.

These BS 8204-7 compliant screeds are easy to lay, require less labour, and dry faster than other materials, helping to speed up construction timelines. Some of the systems can be applied in thinner layers than the semi-dry screeds, reducing shrinkage and offering high compressive strength. They also deliver excellent thermal conductivity when paired with underfloor heating.

Curing time
Curing Time (20°C):
Ensure the area is weather-tight, with all roofs, windows, and doors covered. Protect the screed from draughts and strong sunlight for 24 hours after installation.
Moisture-sensitive floor finishes can be applied once the screed reaches 75% RH as per BS8203. This typically takes 1-3 days, depending on thickness and conditions (20°C, 50% RH).
Restrict access to the screed for at least 12 hours (preferably 24) to avoid surface damage. Light foot traffic is possible after this period.
Normal site traffic and partition installation can occur after the screed hardens, usually within 24-48 hours.
Note: In colder conditions, these times may be longer.
Application Process
Mix only as much material as you can use within 10 minutes at 20°C. Higher temperatures will reduce the working time. The ideal substrate temperature is between 15°C and 25°C, but it must not be below 5°C or above 25°C. Ensure the substrate temperature is at least 3°C higher than the dew point during application and curing.
The base slab and air temperatures must stay above 5°C for 72 hours after application. Keep ambient humidity above 50% RH during the application and curing process. Prevent fluid screeds from drying too quickly before they are strong enough to handle natural shrinkage. Apply in a stable, draft-free environment, away from strong sunlight.

Curing time
The area to be screeded must be weatherproof, with all roofs, windows, and doors covered. Protect the screed from draughts and strong sunlight during installation and for 24 hours afterwards.
Moisture-sensitive floor finishes can be applied once the screed is dry to 75% relative humidity (RH) as outlined in BS8203. This typically takes one day, depending on thickness and conditions (20°C, 50% RH).
Restrict access to the screed for at least 12 hours, ideally 24 hours, to avoid surface damage. Light foot traffic is possible after this period.
Normal site traffic and partition installation can occur once the screed has hardened, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
Note: These times may be longer in cold weather. If the ambient humidity exceeds 75% RH, drying time will also increase, though curing will not be affected.
Application Process
Mix only as much material as you can use within 10 minutes at 20°C. Higher temperatures will reduce working time. The substrate temperature should be between 15-25°C, with a minimum of 5°C and a maximum of 25°C. During application and curing, the substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point. Ensure the base slab and air temperatures stay above 5°C for 72 hours after application. Ambient humidity should be at least 50% during application and curing. Avoid letting fluid screeds dry out too quickly before they gain enough strength to handle natural shrinkage. Apply the material in an environment with stable temperature, no drafts, and protection from strong sunlight.
